Fintrade Tech Solutions Ltd, trading as Fintrade Financial, collects personal information in the course of carrying out our business. The personal information you provide to use our products and services is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

This policy applies to the products and services provided by Fintrade Financial. This applies to any person who interacts with us in regards to our products and services. By inquiring about, applying for or using our services or otherwise providing us with your personal information, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and retention of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Collection:

Your personal information will be collected and held by COMPANY’S FULL NAME AND ADDRESS.

Personal information may be gathered directly from you, for example, through account opening forms, or, with your permission, from third parties like credit agencies, banks, or public records.

We may also gather information from your use of our website, including pages visited and frequency of visits. Occasionally, we might request further information to comply with legal requirements or improve our services.

When you contact us for inquiries or advice, we may collect personal information, such as:

  • Contact information (name, address, phone number, email address, etc)
  • Date of birth
  • Financial information (bank account details, salary, investment records, etc)
  • Photo identification (a passport, driver licence, etc)
  • Recent utility bill or bank statement

This personal information is used for providing our services, verifying your identity, understanding your needs, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations like anti-money laundering. If additional services require further use of your personal information, we will inform you and request your consent before proceeding.

We may send emails or encrypted WhatsApp messages regarding services and offers that may interest you. As a client, you’ll also receive updates related to your inquiries or services. If you prefer not to receive such communications, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email, or contact us via phone, email, or by notifying your Fintrade advisor. As part of our KiwiSaver service, you may receive updates and advice tailored to your KiwiSaver investments.

Disclosure:

We will generally not share personal information that is provided to us, unless it is necessary to do so for the purpose for which you gave us the information or where you consent. We will not otherwise disclose personal information provided to or collected by us unless required or otherwise permitted by law.

Storage:

Your information is stored on secure servers, and access is limited to employees and partners who need it to provide you with services. While we take all reasonable measures to protect your data, the use of the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the full security of data transferred online.

Retention:

We are legally required to retain personal data under New Zealand laws, such as the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. Typically, we hold your information for at least 7 years, though some data may be kept longer even after you cease to be a client.

Access and Correction:

You may request access to the information held about you, and if any of the information is incorrect, ask for it to be corrected. You can do this by contacting us by email, and we will reply within twenty working days. If we do not agree with the correction of personal information that you have identified as incorrect, you may request that we attach a statement of correction to the personal information noting the correction requested.

Updates to Privacy Policy:

We will review this privacy policy as needed and advise you if we make any changes. Your continued use of our products and services after being advised of changes will be treated as your acceptance of the updated policy.
